What Is the Mechanism of a Sand Filter for Above Ground Pool?
A filter is essential for
any swimming pool for maintaining the quality of water in the pool. There are
three kinds of filters available among which sand filter is the best above ground pool filter that

How does a sand filter work?
The most important thing
necessary for the installation of a sand filter is a pump for the swimming
pool. A sand filter cannot function without a pump. It is the pump that draws
out water from the swimming pool into the sand filter.
The filter is provided
with pre-filter bags to eliminate large particulate wastes like leaves, twigs
and insects. This is to ensure that these particulate wastes do not interfere
with the quality and durability of the sand filter.
The sand filter is filled
with a purification medium through which the water of the pool flows through
and is cleaned. The waste particles stick to the sand and is eliminated from
the water which is then redirected into the pool. There might be a heating

before entering the pool.

Every sand filter has six
ports for different settings –

percent clarification of the pool water.
2.
Waste – the water passes through the sand
filter avoiding direct contact with the sand. This feature is essential when
deep cleaning is essential for the pool.
3.
Backwash – is a technology used to improve purification?
4.
Rinse – is the setting used after
backwashing to ensure that the sand in the filter is returned to its original
place before the water is redirected back to the pool.
5.
Circulation – ensures if the water is clean or
not. If the water passes through the filter and directly goes back to the pool,
it indicates that the water is still polluted.
6.
Closed – is the state when all the ports are
closed to ensure that the pool is safe when the pump of the pool is being serviced.
